9th annual meeting - 2016 - Aberdeen - Friday 11th and Saturday 12th November
Well done to all for an educational and friendly Scottish Spine Surgeons meeting 2016. The Caledonian Hotel in the heart of the city welcomed us and provided very good facitlites for us and our sponsors.
A highlight was the inspirational presentation by Paralympian Karen Darke. Karen kindly signed copies of her book "If You Fall...It's a New Beginning". We got a close look at her Rio Gold Medal.
Thanks to all of the invited presenters who gave practice changing talks.
Congratulations to all the paper presenters who represented their teams with distinction with 11 papers read. The judges scored on a combination of academic merit and message communication.
Congratulations to Ignatius (Mr Liew) achieving the first prize award for paper 2. "Improving the Patient Journey through the Outpatient Spinal Service ".
Well done to Ali (Mr Rajabian) for the second prize award for paper 4. "Type Two Odontoid Fracture in the Elderly and Atlanto-Odontoid Fusion or Calcification of the Transverse Ligament of Atlas: Anatomically Close Structures, Correlation or Causation?”.
